Starting May 6th 2024, I've been working freelance as a set dresser on the CBS Morning show. Here, my job includes setting up/designing the morning deals segment tables, breaking down those same tables, and providing props for any segment that requires it. Outside of the deals segment I've been lucky enough to be a part of an American Pie segment with Jason Biggs (where I helped prep around 20 pies), an ice cream segment, and a met gala segment where I ended up on TV! Working on the CBS Morning Show is so much fun and a great opportunity to use my set dressing skills on the regular.

On February 27th and 28th of 2025, I had the opportunity to prep a segment completely on my own. I was emailed the assignment/ segment idea, which was to plate a "charcuterie board" of peanut butter desserts to celebrate national peanut butter day in advance (March 1st) for our anchor Tony who loves peanut butter. I did the research solo on what places near our studio had the appropriate and most attractive peanut butter treats. I found that the nearby Whole Foods sold peanut butter cookies, and their "Justin's peanut butter cups" in dark chocolate would pop on the tray. I then ventured out to Chelsea where Billy's Bakery sells peanut butter chocolate cupcakes and while I was there I noticed that they had these peanut butter bars which would perfectly balance out the setup. A key part of this assignment was an entire jar of peanut butter with a spoon in it for Nate to eat straight up.
